The Sentinel Islands, part of the Andaman Archipelago, lie in the southwestern waters of the Andaman Islands and are administratively under the South Andaman District of the Indian Union Territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The main islands of the Sentinel Islands are North Sentinel Island and South Sentinel Island, which are 60 km apart. The northern North Sentinel Island is located at 11°31′3″N to 11°35′47″N, 92°11′55″E to 92°16′29″E, and is merely 30 km east of the Labyrinth Islands. The southern South Sentinel Island is situated at 10°58′12″N to 10°59′0″N, 92°12′42″E to 92°13′45″E, and is only 26 km away from Little Andaman Island in its southeast direction. North Sentinel Island has an area of 49.34 km² and a coastline length of 42.21 km; South Sentinel Island covers an area of 1.92 km² with a coastline length of 5.55 km. The total area of the Sentinel Islands is 52.40 km², with a total coastline length of 59.73 km. This dataset was compiled based on Google Earth satellite imagery and maps related to India and the Andaman Islands. It consists of 15 individual data files, stored in .kmz and .shp formats, with an uncompressed size of 83.3 KB (compressed into 2 data files with a size of 35.4 KB).
