Data for barrier island resilience and resistance: analysis and metrics for characterizing state

This data release includes information and metrics for evaluating the geomorphic state of barrier islands and headlands along coastal Louisiana. Specifically, these data are: 1) subaerial land coverage; 2) vegetated area coverage; 3) subaerial volume to area ratio from publicly available light detection and ranging (lidar) elevation data; 4) inundation extent (i.e., maps) for high tide flooding levels using the best available lidar data; and 5) hypsometry (cumulative area by elevation bins).
