THE RECORD: a hash-chained Modulign address ledger of 1,000,000 legal documents
收藏资源简介:
THE RECORD is an append-only, hash-chained ledger assigning Modulign (DAG-OR) addresses to legal documents from the Harvard Caselaw Access Project's openly published static archive. This deposit contains the complete implementation (addresser, pipelines, verifiers, schema), the chain anchor file, the verified 1,000-row proof slice, and the complete 1,000,000-row ledger in ten JSONL shards. Each row carries a permanent GSI-ID, a canonical Modulign address, the source document URL, the SHA-256 of the exact bytes retrieved, and the SHA-256 of the Modulign Standard v3.0 specification implemented (per its section 26.3). Rows chain by row_hash = SHA-256(prev_hash + canonical row JSON) from a fixed genesis string; verify_full.py recomputes the entire chain from genesis. All classifications are automated and carry the ^PROV (provisional) grade the specification mandates for unannotated automated observers; none claims evidence grade. The run: sequence 1,001 through 1,000,000 — 999,000 documents — was addressed in one continuous run beginning 2026-08-27T07:32:24.797Z and reaching row 1,000,000 at 2026-08-27T07:40:39.361Z (8 minutes 14.6 seconds, including one mid-run crash and recovery visible in the row timestamps). Chain heads were committed to the public repository at https://github.com/vince-gonzalez/the-record at 100,000-row intervals while the run was in progress, so the repository's commit timestamps witness the pace independently of this deposit.
