This dataset presents the indoor air temperature measurement results using the novel technique of Acoustic travel time TOMography (ATOM) in the ultrasonic frequency range. The data was collected across a decreasing and increasing indoor air temperature scenarios within the climate chamber laboratory of the Building Physics department at Bauhaus-University Weimar. The temperatures derived from the ATOM system were compared against those recorded by highly accurate NTC thermistors as a benchmark. The measurements encompassed both steady state and transient conditions. Moreover, the developed ultrasonic setup contains a preamplifier to enhance the power of the recorded signal. This preamplifier introduces a phase shift which should be measured and compensated accordingly. Accordingly, the results of the phase shift measurements for the utilized preamplifier are provided. It cover two approaches of performing the measurements in a numeric computing platform i.e. MATLAB and validating measurements by conducting phase shift measurements using an oscilloscope.
