Content of Botsotso Magazine, South Africa, 1994 – 2019

Botsotso is a literary magazine that was founded by the poetry performance group, the Botsotso Jesters, in 1994 when South Africa became a democracy. This dataset constitutes the full physcial collection (1994 – 2019) acquired by the African Street Literature research project in 2019 and housed at the Nordic Africa Institute in Uppsala, Sweden. Since then, two further volumes (not catalogued here) have been made available online at https://botsotso.org.za.
