Skin and blubber biopsy samples from sperm whales and northern bottlenose whales in Davis Strait.

Collected to determine age, sex and other life history parameters for sperm whales and northern bottlenose whales in the Arctic as part of two projects looking at 1) the distribution and movement of cetaceans from known temperate latitudes in the Arctic and 2) the behavioural and acoustic response of sperm whales and northern bottlenose whales to playbacks of underwater noise from vessels and sonar.
