In the foreground, a paved street can be seen extending from left to right. At the center of the street, a horse-drawn carriage is visible. A person holding an umbrella can be seen sitting in the corner of the carriage. Behind the carriage at center, a series of connected, large, four-story buildings can be seen. Along the base of the buildings, several awnings advertise small shops. At the center of the buildings, a large archway labeled "Young Men's Christian Association" leads to a set of steps. At the top of the center structure, a conical rooftop topped with a flagpole holding the American flag can be seen.
