Use of monoclonal antibodies to identify four neutralization immunogens on a common cold picornavirus, human rhinovirus 14.

The epitopic residues in the NIm-IA antigenic site recognized by the mAbs was determined by sequencing variant viruses selected with the mAbs. Variants with mutation of VP1 residue Asp91 to a Glu, His, Ala, Tyr, Val, Asn, or Gly or mutation of residue Glu95 to a Lys or Gly were not neutralized by the mAbs.
