Response of bacterial and fungal communities in natural biofilms to bioavailable heavy metals in a mining-affected river

This study revealed different ecological response mechanisms of bacterial and fungal communities under Pb Zn mining area pollution. Coping and recovering mechanism of complex microbial communities from disturbances caused by mining area pollution should be understood and is significant for addressing health issues of aquatic ecosystems caused by HMP.
