POLITENESS STRATEGIES IN BUSINESS ENGLISH COMMUNICATION

This study examines the role of politeness strategies in Business English communication, focusing on how speakers use language to maintain professional relationships, manage face needs, and achieve communicative goals. Drawing on qualitative analysis of business emails, meetings, and reports, the research identifies key politeness strategies such as indirectness, hedging, and mitigation. The findings show that politeness plays a crucial role in ensuring clarity, reducing conflict, and enhancing cooperation in professional settings. The study contributes to the fields of pragmatics, business communication, and applied linguistics.
