This dataset contains raw data from the analyses published in the article entitled “Undesirable consequences of the metallic nanoparticles action on the properties and functioning of Escherichia coli, Bacillus cereus and Staphylococcus epidermidis membranes” in Journal of Hazardous Materials (https://doi.org/10.1016/j.jhazmat.2023.130728). The included data consists of results collected for a series of different biochemical tests performed on Escherichia coli, Bacillus cereus and Staphylococcus epidermidis cells exposed to Ag, Cu, ZnO and TiO2 nanoparticles. Raw data from the following biochemical tests were comprised in the dataset: intracellular and extracellular ATP concentrations, ATPase activity, cytoplasmic leakage, membrane permeability (measured with crystal violet) and bacterial fatty acids profiling. Furthermore, images from scanning electron microscopy analysis of bacterial cells treated with nanoparticles are included.
