By RNA-seq analysis, we monitored the early steps of biofilm production in BCG, to distinguish intercellular aggregation from attachment to a surface, and found a number of genes being differentially expressed at these stages. Overall design: We analyzed samples of BCG grown in Sauton medium, at 24 h, 7 days, and 10 days postinoculation in 25cm2 flasks, individually. The experiment was repeated once, so we had a total of 6 samples analyzed by RNASeq.
