Phytophthora Genome sequencing and assembly. Phytophthora

Phytophthora cactorum is the causal agent of economically significant diseases on a range of horticultural crops including crown rot of strawberry. Durability of identified host resistance genes will be influenced by diversity of recognised AVR genes in pathogen populations. This study aims to identify candidate effectors and Avr genes within Phytophthora cactorum and understand their diversity between isolates.
