The present invention concerns a sandwich panel comprising a sandwich panel core having a top and bottom surface and made of low density and high density lamellae of mineral wool fibres arranged such that alternately low density lamellae and high density lamellae are provided; at least one outer sheet facing adhesively secured to at least one of the top or bottom surfaces of the panel core; wherein the outer sheet facing is adhesively secured by glue applied substantially only in stripes at the high density lamellae.
