资源简介:
Recent advances in chemistry and sequencing technologies have enabled the genomic comparison of biological systems at a high-resolution level. The gap-less genome assemblies allow access to repeat-rich regions that were previously poorly assembled, hence improving the spatial assignation, order, distance and orientation of genes and regulatory elements. In our previous studies, we shed light on the enrichment of DNA motifs that can lead to differences in seasonal behavior and brain sensitivity to hormones among songbird species. Herewith, in this project for regulatory comparative genomic purposes we increased the quality of our already sequenced genomes and produced a chromosome level assembly of a tyrant flycatcher, a species of valuable interest because of its close relatedness to the songbird model species.
