Chile: types of social media accounts followed Q3 2023

As of the third quarter of 2023, the most common type of social media account followed by internet users in Chile was closer contacts like friends, family, and acquaintances - about 65.2 percent of Chilean online users did so. Entertainment, memes, or parody accounts were the second most followed type of social media accounts in the country with approximately 43 percent of internet users in Chile following such accounts, with a similar number of respondents who claimed to follow bands, singers, and musicians.
