This repository contains the processed model outputs, derived datasets, and R scripts supporting the study “Forest Carbon Certification under Climate and Mortality Uncertainty: Ecological and Economic Trade-offs of Management Scenarios in Freiburg, Germany.” The study evaluates four forest-management scenarios—Business as Usual (BAU), No Management (NM), conventional certification-oriented management (CCS), and transformation-oriented carbon certification (TCS)—for five representative forest plots in the Freiburg municipal forest, Germany. Simulations cover the period 2020–2080 and were conducted using 3-PG-Hydro. The deposited material includes results for aboveground biomass, net primary productivity, deep percolation, harvested timber volume, biomass breakeven points, carbon-credit estimates, and net present value calculations. The simulations consider two climate pathways, SSP3-7.0 and SSP5-8.5; three Earth system models, MPI-ESM1-2-HR, MRI-ESM2-0, and UKESM1-0-LL; and four mortality assumptions: no mortality, low mortality, intermediate mortality, and high mortality. The repository also contains the R scripts used to organize and process the simulation outputs, calculate ecological, carbon, and economic indicators, and generate the figures presented in the manuscript and supplementary material. README files document the folder structure, file-naming conventions, software requirements, input dependencies, and recommended sequence for executing the scripts. Original forest inventory and climate forcing datasets are not redistributed where access or ownership conditions prevent their inclusion.
