Solar saltern metagenomic diversity from Goa,India. Metagenomic characterization of Solar Saltern, Goa, India

Metagenomic DNA was isolated from the hypersasline environment with 35 % salinities.The 16S rRNA libraries are prepared from the QC passed DNA sample using 16S rRNA gene universal primers with standard Illumina barcodes and adapters. The Amplicons are further purified using Ampure XP beads. The barcoded libraries are validated by Agilent DNA1000 Bioanalyser and quantified using Qubit DNA BR reagent assay. The quantified libraries are pooled and sequenced in MiSeq using 500 cycle kit for a read length of 251x2 bp
