Digital Archive from an Archaeological Evaluation at Sherwood Cross, Colestocks Road, Feniton, Devon, May 2024

This collection comprises spreadsheets, GIS data, and images including photographs of cremated human remains from an archaeological evaluation on land at Sherwood Cross, Colestocks Road, Feniton, Devon. This work was undertaken by Cotswold Archaeology in May 2024.The evaluation recorded two ditches. These were undated artefactually, but their alignment matched that of early Bronze Age field system ditches noted previously c. 350m south-east of the application site. The evaluation also recorded a human cremation burial within an urn which had been placed in an inverted position which was a common practice in the Early and Middle Bronze Age.
