16S rRNA gene sequencing of cecal microbiota in laying hens following bacteriophage therapy

To investigate the effects of bacteriophage therapy (introduced through intramuscular route and drinking water) on the cecal microbiota of laying hens by performing 16S rRNA gene amplicon sequencing of cecal content samples collected from both phage-treated and untreated control groups at the time of euthanization.
