资源简介:
Table 1 Characteristic remanent magnetization (ChRM) directions of the East Xining (EXN) and Shuiwan-Guanjiashan (SW-GJS) sections; Table 2 Composite proxy records of Cenozoic sediments from the Xining Basin. For the proxy records from the Table 2, the carbonate contents, Ca/Al ratios, sediment redness, magnetic susceptibility records, and sedimentation rate were obtained from two outcrop sections and one borehole core, located at Xiejia, Mojiazhuang, and Tashan in the Xining Basin, respectively. The proxy records from the gypsum horizons have been removed. The carbonate content was measured using the Karbonat-bombe method with errors of ca. 0.5 wt.%. The Ca/Al ratios in bulk samples roughly represent the relative contents of gypsum. Concentrations of Ca and Al in bulk samples for the whole section were determined using ICP-OES (Leeman Labs Prodigy-H) at the Institute of Tibetan Plateau Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing. Lightness (L*) and redness (a*) were measured using a Minolta-CM2002 spectrophotometer. Low-frequency mass-specific magnetic susceptibility (χ) was measured at 470 Hz using a Bartington Instruments meter and MS2B sensor.
