Adaptive Concurrent Multiscale Modeling of Fatigue Crack Propagation
收藏资源简介:
This supplementary package includes simulation input files, scripts, and representative results generated using the Adaptive BDM framework. The Adaptive Bridging Domain Method (Adaptive BDM) is a multiscale simulation framework that couples atomistic and continuum domains through an overlapping bridging region. Within this region, consistency between the two representations is enforced, enabling seamless information transfer. The adaptive capability allows the bridging domain to change size and location during the simulation, so that atomistic resolution is preserved in critical areas while computational cost is reduced in less active regions. This approach enables efficient and accurate modeling of complex, evolving processes such as fracture, fatigue, and large-scale material deformation.
