The model cyanobacterium Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803 encodes a single DEAD-box RNA helicase, CrhR, that is induced under cold stress. However, most physiological functions of CrhR have remained unknown. To identify possible interaction partners of CrhR here we performed RNA-immunoprecipitation experiments with extracts from Synechocystis expressing a tagged protein. We found that CrhR is associated with different transcript types.
