[C4OC] Ramsar - Protecting East Gippsland’s high value Coastal environments

The COA sub project aims to address threats to high value coastal wilderness areas, coastal habitat for EPBC listed species, and Ramsar sites in East Gippsland. A multi partner approach will be employed to consolidate works undertaken through the Littoral Rainforest Prioritisation and Works Scheduling report to: establish threatened species protection in coastal estuarine habitats; consolidate a control and surveillance program for Bitou Bush and Boneseed in key locations and contain coastal weeds from further incursion into East Gippsland’s coastal wilderness areas; restore degraded salt marsh and establish a management plan for two sites in the Gippsland Lakes Ramsar; and, support the development of the Gunaikurnai Land and Waters Aboriginal Corporation (GLaWAC) NRM crew by integrating them into the delivery of the above projects.
