Kolkata fish microbiome project

This project is aimed at collecting metagenomic data from fish stool samples in Kolkata, India. To this end, we purchased five different fish from a fish market in Kolkata and stool samples collected from the fish were subjected to extract metagenomic DNA. The extracted DNA samples were used to perform a shotgun metagenomic analysis using Illumina NovaSeq6000 and 16S rRNA gene amplicon analysis using Illumina MiSeq. The first sample is from rui, followed by katla, hilsa, parshe and koi.
