Transcriptional profiling of aged and young mouse hearts [RRBS]

Cardiac aging is a major risk factor for cardiovascular diseases, yet the underlying molecular mechanisms remain poorly understood. Methylation at the CpG islands have been heavily associated with the process of aging. In this study, we performed RRBS sequencing to identify changes in CpG methylation in the aging cardiomyocyte. Overall design: We isolated cardiomyocyte nuclei using FACS and performed RRBS sequencing. Outputs were analyzed using bismark package.
