## Description of the Data and file structure

These are responses from a Survey Monkey survey.

Unfortunately, for multi-part questions, Survey Monkey formats the data where the main question text/label is in a row, and then adds a second row with a column for each possible question text/label option. This results in blank header cells because Survey Monkey does an implicit colspan for multi-part questions.

DRYAD doesn't allow blank header cells in CSVs, so to reconcile DRYAD's validation with Survey Monkey's data structure, we made the following changes:

1. Filled in any empty header cells the most relevant option response
2. Added a row with the original headers, including spac..., To avoid risk of indirect re-identification, data were de-identified by removing any explicitly identifying columns (e.g. contact information, IP address, role/occupation, country, etc.). The dataset was further de-identified by removing all open response questions that might have allowed respondents to include identifying information (e.g. \"Other, please specify\" open response questions).

Respondents were presented with a short message before starting the survey, which included a “Privacy Policy” section that stated, \"The information you submit to the survey will be aggregated and anonymized.\"
