Combining saliva and tongue dorsum on oral microbiota analysis

Conventional methods for analyzing oral microbiota typically focus on a single sample type, such as saliva, dental plaque, or the dorsal surface of the tongue. In this study, we performed a combined analysis of saliva samples and tongue swabs to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the oral microbiota.
