资源简介:
Project Description Many factors of drivers (such as age and driving experience), vehicles (such as size of vehicles and vehicle type), roadways (such as intersection geometric design, sign and speed limit), and environment (such as weather and time of day) may have an influence over vehicle drivers being able to see and react to pedestrians. Effect and influence of the various factors need to be studied, so the factors could be prioritized or modeled to estimate pedestrian-turning-traffic crash risk at intersections and develop effective countermeasures. This dataset was used to support a study of some of those factors. Data Request Scope The dataset includes driver, vehicle, roadway and environment data from the SHRP 2 NDS. The requested sensor and video data includes vehicle traversals around six selected sample intersections in different SHRP 2 NDS sites. Data Specification The data include time series and forward video for 20 crash/near-crash events and 1601 intersection traversals, Traversal duration generally includes up to 5 minutes before the start and up to 1 minute after the end of a crash or near-crash epoch, and up to 5 minutes before the beginning of an intersection traversal and up to 1 minute after an intersection traversal. However, some durations are shorter due to data unavailability. The data also contains aggregate information about the number of drivers and vehicles traversing each intersection in the sample. Detailed lists of the variables included are contained in the included dictionary file.
