PRESSURE - WATER and Other Data from LE NOROIT From TOGA Area - Pacific (30 N to 30 S) from 19921201 to 19930331 (NODC Accession 9600049)

The accession contains Sea Surface data collected in TOGA Area - Pacific (30 N to 30 S) as part of Tropical Ocean Global Atmosphere (TOGA) and Coupled Ocean-Atmosphere Response Experiment (COARE) International Project. The data was collected from ship LE NOROIT between December 1, 1992 and March 31, 1993. The Office de la Recherche Scientifique et Technique Outre Mer (ORSTOM) SURTROPAC group in Noumea, New Caledonia, together with scientists from the UK and other countries, conducted surface meteorological observations on board the French research vessel during the TOGA COARE Intensive Observing Period (IOP). From 1 December 1992 to 2 March 1993, 18 temperature, salinity, and current sections were made from 5S to 5N along the 156E meridian and two sections in the Coral Sea from 20S,163E to 6S,156E. Good format description accompanies the data. Data was submitted by C. Henin, ORSTOM, New Caledonia to NODC.
