CDPHE Colorado College and University Immunization Data

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) Colorado College and University Immunization Data table contains data displayed in the Colorado School and Childcare Immunization Data Dashboard, beginning with the 2010-11 school year. The CDPHE Immunization Program annually collects immunization data from Colorado universities and colleges that meet the requirement to report aggregate immunization data. This dataset does not include data for school years when a specific college or university did not report their data to CDPHE. The datasets are updated annually when the most recently collected school year data is ready for publication, usually in late spring. Per Colorado Board of Health rule 6 CCR 1009-2, students attending Colorado colleges or universities that have residence hall facilities within their systems are required to provide evidence of protection from measles, mumps, rubella (MMR), and meningococcal disease (only if they are new college or university students residing in student housing). These requirements apply to college or university students who are physically present at the institution and enrolled in one or more classes. This includes students who are auditing classes but does not include nontraditional adult students as defined by the governing board of the institution or persons taking classes online or by correspondence only. Here is a brief description of the fields included in this dataset: Year: This field indicates the school year of the survey data (e.g. 2023/2024) (character). Name: This field indicates the name of the college or university. For statewide values, the value is ‘Statewide’ (character). Vaccine: This field indicates either MMR or Meningococcal vaccination data. (character). Student_Population: This field indicates the grade level. For MMR, values include All students, Freshmen, Sophomore, Junior, Senior, Graduate, and Other. For Meningococcal, the value is ‘Total new students residing in student housing’ (character). Metric: This field indicates the vaccination status category. For MMR, values include Enrollment, Fully immunized, Exemptions, In process, and Noncompliance. For Meningococcal, values include Enrollment, Fully immunized, Signed waiver, and Noncompliance (character). The College/University reporting worksheet has definitions of the metrics included in this dataset. Value: This field indicates the student enrollment or vaccination status rate.
