Variability of Mycobacterium tuberculosis was analysed by whole genome sequencing of strains involved in intrapatient infections and interpatient transmission chains. We selected clinical/epidemiological situations that could lead to increased acquisition of variability, nonetheless our findings showed a limited variability acquired, within the thresholds previously described in the literature.
