SOLER Catalogues

The SOLER (Energetic Solar Eruptions: Data and Analysis Tools) project provides three interlinked catalogues focusing on different aspects of energetic solar eruptions: coronal mass ejections (CME), solar flares, and solar energetic particles (SEP). The CME catalogue contains coronal mass ejections (CMEs) with a speed > 1000 km/s obtained from the existing CME lists from the Large Angle and Spectrometric Coronagraph Experiment (LASCO) onboard Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO). The flare catalogue contains solar flares with a flare class > M5 observed in solar cycle 25, including key characteristics of each flare. The flares in this catalogue were compiled using observations from two spacecraft: the Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite (GOES) and Solar Orbiter (SolO). The SEP catalogue contains multi-spacecraft solar energetic particle (SEP) events, which were observed with the new spacecraft fleet in solar cycle 25. The catalogue comprises key SEP characteristics observed by five different observer locations as provided by Solar Orbiter, Parker Solar Probe, STEREO A, Wind and SOHO (at the Lagrangian point 1), and BepiColombo. The catalogue focuses on large events, which show energetic proton increases above 25 MeV. The catalogue provides not only key parameters of the proton event but also the same parameters for 1 MeV and 100 keV electrons, respectively.
