Data and associated analysis code for Murillo et al. (submitted), etntitled "Low-income, minority-serving public schools have disproportionately high surface temperatures." Two data files and one code script for analysis are included: Murilloetal-MetaData-29Aug25.csv -Provides metadata (header, description, units, measurement type) for each column of the file entitled "Murilloetal-Data-29Aug25.csv" Murilloetal-Data-29Aug25.csv - Provides the core data in the study of the correlations between school surface temperatures (mean, min, max) and median household income, student ethnicity/race, distance of school from coastline, and normalized differential vegetation index. Murilloetal-Rcode-26March26-Zenodo.R - Provides the R code used to generate the statistical analysis and figures in the study using the data files entitled "Murilloetal-Data-29Aug25.csv", "IrvineWeatherStation-HourlyTempData.csv", "JohnWayneFullertonAirport-HourlyTempData.csv" and "WeatherStationTemperatureData-ECO-L2T-LSTE-002-results.csv." This version updated code fixes/improves minor issues and adds an analysis of the relationships between land surface temperature and air temperature at several weather stations in Orange County.
