Sample preparation and tests for MnS2 growth on clean Au(111)for the proposal A32-3-762 will be carried out. MnS2 growth parameters will be benchmarked. RHEED and AES measurements will be used for characterization. H2S gas will be used for the synthesis of MnS2 on single crystal Au substrate. X-ray beam is not necessary.
