Epidemiological relatedness or clonality of ESBL- producing E. coli in pig population in the three zones (Northern, Middle and Southern) of Ghana and their associated resistant patterns in commonly used veterinary pharmaceutical products.

The project aims at understanding the spread and burden of AMR in food animals and to serve as baseline information for future evidence-based interventions to control and prevent AMR. It will also afford us the opportunity to understand the determinants of Resistance in Pig regarding E. coli which is an indicator organism.
