This dataset contains longitudinal data from 30 children in Grade 1. Children completed a timed paper-and-pencil number comparison task at the beginning, middle, and end of the school year. At each time point, children completed both symbolic (Arabic digits) and nonsymbolic (dots) formats of the number comparison task. For each participant we report the gender, age at the time of testing, and raw scores on the two formats of the number comparison tasks at each time point. The procedures and materials of this study were approved by the Health Sciences Research Ethics Board at the University of Western Ontario.<br>The findings from this dataset are reported in Matejko, A.
