To study how 4T1 breast cancers disrupt host physiology, we performed RNA-seq analyses on multiple normal organs. Mice were transplanted with 4T1 cancers and then sacrificed on 3 and 7 days post-transplantation (D3 and D7), when no apparent cancer metastasis occurred. The liver, lung, kidney, and heart were collected and RNA-seq analyses were performed. In addition, we wished to know how 4T1 breast cancer affects circadian gene expressions in the liver. To this end, we sacrificed mice on day7 at ZT02, ZT06, ZT10, ZT14, ZT18, and ZT22 (ZT refers to zeitgeber time, and ZT00 is when light turns on in a mouse-rearing room) and obtained the liver. These data were utilized to characterize what kind of circadian gene expression changes occurred in the liver of 4T1-bearing mice.
