Compiled scripts and data for all analyses

This repository contains all datasets and code used in the analyses for the manuscript “ Seed trait variation of Ricinodendron heudelotii (Baill.) Pierre ex Heckel across climatic zones and elevation in West Africa: implications for seed sourcing and domestication ” The materials include the cleaned morphological dataset, the full R script used for multivariate phenotypic plasticity index analysis, the correlation matrix, the hierarchical partitioning analysis, and the second-degree polynomial regression and visualization, as well as the associated output files used in the manuscript. ## Data Structure It includes the following data files: Cleaned morphological dataset : (Traits.xlsx) Phenotypic Plasticity dataset Second-degree polynomial regression dataset Full analysis R script ## Instructions for reproducing the analysis Step 1: Descriptive statistics, Anova or Kruskal-Wallis, and Data visualization Step 2: Multivariate Phenotypic Plasticity Index (MVPi) Step 3: Phenotypic plasticity graph Step 4: Correlation Step 5: Hierarchical Partitioning Step 6: Second-degree polynomial regression ## Software All analyses were performed in R.4.5.2
