BIWI, also known as the Biwi Kinect Head Pose Database, is a dataset for head pose estimation research. It comprises 15,000 images collected from 20 volunteers: 6 females and 14 males, with 4 participants being recorded twice. Each frame is accompanied by a depth image, a corresponding RGB image (both with a resolution of 640×480 pixels), and corresponding annotations. The head pose ranges cover ±75° yaw and ±60° pitch. The ground truth is provided in the form of the 3D position and rotation of the head.
