Dataset for physiological responses of sugarcane and energy cane under root-zone cooling and heating

This dataset contains physiological and hormonal data from sugarcane and energy cane plants subjected to root-zone temperature variation under controlled conditions. Plants were exposed to root-zone cooling and heating treatments, followed by a recovery phase. The dataset includes gas exchange, chlorophyll fluorescence, leaf water potential, environmental conditions and abscisic acid (ABA) concentration data used to evaluate the responses of sugarcane and energy cane to short-term root-zone temperature stress. Sugarcane and energy cane were evaluated to compare their physiological sensitivity and recovery capacity under root-zone cooling and heating. The files include raw and/or processed data, metadata describing the experimental design, variables, units and treatments, and statistical summaries when applicable.
