A total of twenty chickens (10 FUNAAB Alpha and 10 Arbor Acres) were randomly selected at 8 weeks of age from a cohort of 250 birds. Hindgut caecal samples were aseptically collected using sterile swabs for metagenomic sequencing. Blood samples were collected for low pass whole genome sequencing to capture host genomic variation. Comprehensive phenomic measurements, including growth performance and linear body traits, were recorded for integrative host microbiome association analyses.
