Shotgun metagenomics reveal a potential loss of functions in rhizosphere microbiome after wheat dwarfing

Genomic DNA was extracted from five replicate rhizosphere soil samples of two tall (Chidham White Chaff and Red Lammas) and two semi-dwarf (Mallacca and Gallant) wheat cultivars, and three replicate bulk soil samples, to investigate prokaryote community taxonomy and function by shotgun metagenomics.
