GRAS Level 1B Bending Angle Climate Data Record Release 3 - Metop-A, -B and -C

The GRAS Level 1b Bending Angle Fundamental Climate Data Record (FCDR) Release 3 comprises reprocessed Level 1B Radio Occultation (RO) bending-angle data from the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) Receiver for Atmospheric Sounding (GRAS) instrument on Metop-A, Metop-B, and Metop-C covering the period 2006-2020. The software used to perform the reprocessing is EUMETSAT’s reference RO processor (Yaros 2.0), which uses a “wave optics” (fast phase transform) retrieval algorithm algorithm. The data record has global coverage and is available in three formats: individual occultation Network Common Data Form 4 (netCDF4) files, individual occultation Binary Universal Form for the Representation of meteorological data (BUFR) files, and multiple occultation native EPS files. This is a Fundamental Climate Data Record (FCDR) produced for the Copernicus Climate Change Service.
