Aerial photographs of the ARCSS grid (1km² study area) in Atqasuk, Alaska were taken using a camera rig and high altitude kite system. The kite was flown once on August 6th during the summer of 2011 at about 500-550 meters off the ground. Southerly winds at about 8-10 mph on the ground with slight rain showers in between.
