we drew draft genomes of 11 new S. mutans isolates after sequencing and assembly. Then we combined them with 172 S. mutans isolates whose complete genomes or draft genomes had been published to analyze their pan-genome features and the distribution variations of their cariogenic genes among different isolates through comparative genomics. It could contribute to dental caries prevention in the genome level in the future.
