资源简介:
Researchers have recently begun to use the 2 × 2 model of perfectionism by Gaudreau and Thompson (2010) to examine differences between perfectionism subtypes in the wellbeing and coping of university students. This work has shown that some subtypes are more prone to difficulties than others. However, to date, there have been very few attempts to explore possible explanatory processes in the context of the 2 × 2 model. The present study therefore addresses this limitation by conducting a conditional process analysis to model the mediating effects of compassion variables (self-compassion, compassion for others, fear of self-compassion, fear of compassion from others, and fear of compassion for others) on the relationship between subtypes and wellbeing and coping outcomes in university students. In doing so, we are able to provide another test in a Filipino context of alternate cultural makeup hypotheses and aggravating factor hypotheses for socially prescribed perfectionism (SPP) proposed by Franche et al. (2012) and a first test of possible mediation effects in the 2 × 2 model in this cultural context. unknown other
