OSHA Severe Injury Reports: Jan 2015 - Sep 2023

This is a public data extract from the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Severe Injury Reports from January 2015 to September 2023. This dataset of severe work-related injuries reported under OSHA regulation 29 CFR 1904.39. OSHA uses version 2.01 of the Occupational Injury and Illness Classification System (OIICS) to code for “Nature of Injury”, “Part of Body Affected”, “Event or Exposure”, and “Source and Secondary Source of Injury and Illness”. The dataset has 86,210 observations spanning 199 unique codes with a highly imbalanced class distribution.
