Frankston Natural Disaster Community Restoration Part 2

A second Green Army Team will continue to assist Frankston's natural area reserves of high environmental significance that provide habitat for endangered, threatened and vulnerable flora and fauna. The team will assist the community groups which were impacted by the storms that occurred in February 2015 by undertaking further restoration activities. The large amounts of rain and fallen debris impacted on waterways, riparian zones and inhibited public access. The team will help build resilience for future storm events, protect significant fauna and flora species, enhance water quality and promote public engagement with the environment.
