The data package mainly includes invention and utility model patent data related to lye treatment technology retrieved from the global patent database. It then evaluates and classifies the patent data using a self-developed algorithm, which can be used to analyze the changes of lye treatment-related patent data from both horizontal and vertical perspectives, thus helping to grasp the intellectual property outcomes of lye treatment technology. By comparing the patent data of lye treatment technology from different enterprises or individuals, one can understand the differences in technological innovation capabilities and innovation levels among them, as well as the technological development trends of lye treatment-related patents. This helps enterprises avoid redundant R&D and prevent their developed technologies from infringing others' intellectual property rights. This dataset is built upon the AHP model integrated with the entropy weight method. The target layer is the comprehensive value, while the index layer divides the comprehensive value index system into three value dimensions: technology, strategy, and economy. The index layer further breaks down into criterion layers, which include: - Technology value: number of citations, number of IPC subclasses, number of claims, patent survival period; - Economic value: remaining validity period, number of transfers, number of licenses, number of pledges; - Strategic value: number of patent families, number of countries/regions for patent layout. Based on the dimensions and indicators, original matrices for the three dimensions and patent evaluation criteria are established, and the corresponding weights are calculated. The single score of each dimension is computed, and the comprehensive value is obtained by summing the scores of all dimensions. The LOOKUP function is then used to determine the numerical interval of the comprehensive value for a single patent, so as to classify patents into high-value, general-value and low-value categories: high-value patents with comprehensive value ≥ 25, low-value patents with comprehensive value < 15, and general-value patents with 15 ≤ comprehensive value < 25. This provides R&D decision-making references and priority guidance for technical avoidance for technicians in this field. Data source: Global Patent Database, where target patents are screened using keywords and IPC classifications. The evaluation of high-value patents refers to the standard *High-Value Patent Evaluation Method* T/ISC 0030-2023.
